Brush - on the crowdfunder page I think you say: "I've been quoted £248 for 5m by 3m. 12 days lead time so it's a non starter." Are you suggesting returning to 3m X 2m? My view, I'm happy to be outvoted if others disagree, is that we should accept the delay and aim to get it for the Forest game. Is there any point rushing to get a smaller one if no-one can read it anyway? The 'shine a light for Patrick' thing will happen against Wigan, as will the he's one of our own chant. I suggest we wait and do it properly and have a flag that can be used indefinitely. Indeed, if we raise more money I'd go even bigger than 5m x 3m. Just my thoughts like......
It needs to be BIG! I'm pretty confident that donations will cover quite a large flag and there's been other generous offers to ensure that it can be done. The link someone posted the other day for footballflags.co.uk looks very good and they do decent sized ones. I think we should aim for Forest game as that is televised. Donating now.
Some other designs were also proposed - including some from me (although I'm definitely not a designer) in the thread titled Flag for Patrick below Jamdrop. I think Cunning Stunt is going to get someone who knows what they're doing(!) to have a go too.......
It would be great for me if it were the Forest game, as I'm away for the Wigan one, but I'll back whatever the overall decision is. I agree that it needs to be huge though, it just wouldn't work otherwise.
Just so all the info is on one page... Brush is now aiming for this flag https://www.footballflags.co.uk/20x10-1.html which is 20ft x 10ft (6.1m x 3.05m) at a cost of £360. We are more than halfway towards this target. The company can deliver by next Friday if the order is placed today. However, as a design has not been agreed nor the money yet reached would people be agreeable on waiting for the Forest match or do people want to push on and try and get it done today so it's ready for Wigan?

TV game is better, pity everything that's talked about isn't synchronised for one big event. Anyone put this on the tykesmad board or are they doing something different as well?
£360 now! - What happens if we get say £750? Do we donate the rest to charity? Or ask whether people are interested in getting another flag - Hecky maybe? Or something else?
Donated. Thanks for setting this up. Apologies if I've missed it, but is there a design for the flag? Reason I ask, is that I think it shouldn't be a St George's Flag (which seems to be almost compulsory these days). It's nothing to do with England, it's about Patrick, and Barnsley. It should be a red and white flag. Just my opinion, others may feel differently.

There isn't a design yet I don't think. But I couldn't agree more in regards to a st George's one. It's a flag primarily for Patrick's support not the team per say. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
