From the contact us form. Who'd like to start? ;-)

    Hi there,

I'm editor of www.blackpoolvitalfootball.co.<wbr>uk and our recent capture of Daniel Bogdanovic from Sheffield United has been met with derision from supporters.

Having watched him play a few times I think he could be quite a good acquisition.

Would you be able to give me a couple of paragraphs on his time at Barnsley and what Pool fans should be expecting from him?

    Cheers
    Jack

Not much loyalty. Not much at all. He might score, he does even less mostly. Im guessing he's already said "its a dream to play for [insert club name here]"

Not a team player. Very Lazy but will score the goals if given the service.

Lazy, light weight, looks like a pub player for much of the time, doesn't contribute anything when the ball is outside the box, but the lad can score goals.

He started 33 league games for Barnsley and scored 16 goals. That's a decent record at any level. He played a few games where we were under the cosh for 89 minutes, we'd go up field once, Bogdanovic would get a half chance, stick it away and we'd win the game. How much is a player like that worth to any side?

What any manager has to decide is whether he can afford to have a player in the side who will do absolutely nothing for 3 or 4 games on the trot, contributing nothing to the team effort, but then scores in 4 games out of 5. Can you take the bad with the good. Tough decision and Bogdanovic will always split opinions.

Bogdanovic WILL score you goals if he gets the chances - but the chances (or half chances) will have to be created for him - in a side that is playing good football and doing well I think he will be a success, he is an excellent finisher - BUT as already stated he is lazy and will not go looking for the ball or get stuck in when games are not going in your favour. I think this is why he doesnt get a run in sides as well.

These kind of players are always a trade off - we used to have Jan Age Fjortoft who in my opinion was a very similar kind of player- lazy outside the box but give him the service and chances in the box and he will score the goals - perhaps he didnt divide opinion as much as we were a better side back then creating more chances and he didnt have to do the work, others wer more than capable and we had the luxury of being able to 'carry' a striker whose only job was to get in the box on the end of things?

The only point I can really add to the above posts which have pretty well summed up everything there is to say about him is that he has gay hair.

Gay hair and lazy but will score goals. It's in the balance.

it depends how u like ur players really.. i wouldnt have thought he was an Ian Holloway player tbh, but maybe he knows how to get the best out of him. i have to say that along with Vicente going to Brighton, ur capture of Bogbrush really surprised me. i mean, this from the club that didnt want Marlon Harewood.. yes Bogbrush had a decent goal ratio with us, but there was very very very little else there. give me a Harewood any day..
The Malteser was somewhat limited ability-wise. he was often played wide both ere and at the Blunts. that was when i realised just how limited the guy was.. he's not clumsy or owt. he can pass. he can head etc.. but its too much like hard work for him tbh.. he is the total opposite of a team player. put it this way, i cant imagine Keith Southern or Ian Evatt being friends with him. he doesnt work. he lacks pace. he offers little at all outside the box.. but he is the sort of player u want in a 1 on 1 chance with the keeper. if the guy is given time and room in the box, he will hit the net more often than not..
but as i say, i can only remember 1 really special goal, from 20 yards or sumat at Cardiff.. he and Kevin Phillips are probably similar in that respect. theyre both predators. but i know who i would prefer..
    but good luck with that.
to sum him up, id say he's a very poor mans Dimitar Berbatov...
Oh, and he would leave u at the drop of a hat. a hat with money in...

Can be bone idle if things don’t go his way, but on the other hand. He can score goals when & if required. I wouldn’t have thought he was a Holly type of player though.

Unusual for us in recent years to have bought a player that knows where the net is, but we did and hes a player that sniffs an opportunity and definately not a workhorse type of forward.

Daniel has a "gift from God".

    His words, not mine.
Not sure what this God given gift is supposed to be, but I suggest the following:

    (1) The highest earning tramp on the planet
    (2) The least loyal tramp on the planet
    (3) The laziest tramp on the planet
    (4) The tramp with the daftest hairstyle on the planet
    (5) The most expensive malteser on the planet

    So be prepared.
If he gets subbed with 10 minutes to go he will head down the tunnel.
This will not be a childish response to being brought off ... he just wants to get set up with his upturned hat & manky dog outside the ground before the fans get out.

    Basically - he's shyt.

One thing that no one has mentioned(unless I missed it)he will only head the ball if he has a chance to score,if it comes up high
outside the box he will jump early......or late and thereby miss the header....watch for it,I'm not wrong.

    Excellent finisher

    Lazy as **** though

Oh and left for his [dream move/free flights home from visit Malta.com/dramatic pay rise] to Bumhole lane in the hope for promotion. Made my day when they sank like the Titanic.

If he can be bothered, he'll score 15+ goals, if he can't, he wont
