As some of you know my son as been training with Leeds Utd for the last few weeks with hopefully him gaining a place in there acadamy.Yesterday the guy that scouted him turned up to watch him play in his club team and to report back on his progress.</p> The team that they played was a mixture of lads that were a year or 2 older than Daniel, They tried bulling him off the ball,and for a time it was working,teams are now finding out who he is and are starting to kick chunks out of him,Daniel replied with a second half hat trick and the man of the match award.</p> Thats 19 goals for the season so far.</p>
Best of luck to Daniel but village teams are hardly a test,my son scored nearly 50 goals in the village team from midfield,the leading scorer had over 70 goals,playing against older lads will help him develop though and i hope he gets signed by Leeds.
Thanks Deano,but i've seen the hunger and passion in Daniels eyes and I know he wants it more than anything,he will make it,I know.
Coaches love the hungry kids,on a dvd we have Roy Keane describes the skill as only part of it, and says its the hunger and sheer will to win thats the main ingredient for a footballer,coaches love kids that have the desire and also the good listeners,best of luck to Daniel.
