"WE'RE all going to Cardiff". Reds fans Dickie Bird and council leader Steve Houghton were today full of confidence for this weekend's crunch play off final and happily waving their Star Come on You Reds foam hands in anticipation. Both life-long fans say they are certain Barnsley FC can win, and will be heading up to the Championship after the showdown at the Millennium Stadium. Season ticket holder Dickie will be sitting in the Royal Box alongside Barnsley-born fast bowler and Strictly Come Dancing champion, Darren Gough. Dickie said: "There's a rumour Goughie is getting there by helicopter, I'm being more down to earth and travelling on The Star's specially-charted train from Barnsley! "It doesn't matter how anyone gets there, just as long as we all enjoy a good day and get the result Barnsley deserves." Coun Houghton, who has been watching the Reds since he was a boy added: "Everyone in the town is talking about the match, it has captured everyone's imagination and it will be brilliant for the club and for Barnsley borough if we win on Saturday."
