Only seen one game so far, against QPR, and Souza didn't look too assured at all. If you're going to play Darren Moore, you need someone with pace alongside, such as Foster.

I'm with IdleTyke 100% on this one

Moore wins practically every header he goes for - maybe No 9 could pick up a few tips

it was moores fault, kozluk had a clear header but big bufoon had to get involved

agree the cross should have been stopped, but the goalkeeper and other defenders have no confidence in moore. even the midfield would rather turn into trouble than pass back yo the oaf

I think Souza is not in form at the moment and Kozluk is always out of postion making the rest of the defence covering for him= Shambles

The goal last night was the fault of souza, moore, kozluk, hume

Souza for the original mistake, moore for a very bad header, kozluk for being totally out of position and hume for not tracking back at all when a man was free. you can add half the midfield into that as well

It's you who needs to open his eyes. Moore was very solid last night, hardly missed a header and won most challenges. That's what you get from Moore. He's the proverbial brick **** house and you don't expect that sort to be quick or classy. If he's near the ball no-one is going to get it easily. But there needs to be pace along the back line for when he isn't near the ball. Reminds me of Malcolm Shotton and he didn't get dogs abuse. Mark my words and bookmark this post; he will be a cult hero by the end of the season.

yes moore is slow but he is strong, good in the air and doesnt get bullied by anyone
souza is equally slow but he is rash, dives in and frequently finds himself the wrong side of the attacking player
moore has been there and done it at this level, he is a wholehearted player-souza is a sub-standard journeyman
i am not saying moore is perfect just that the level of abuse he receives is unfair when his defensive partner, an inferior player, gets none!

bradford didnt take him????? you're thinking of colgan. bradford wanted him but he never considered them, or leicester, or the other championship clubs who wanted him (admittedly the lower end ones). he has had 6 games. souza has had a season and a half of **** ups. they both have their weaknesses but my point is moore gets loads of abuse and souza gets none. dont remember us having a rock solid defence last year either

Have you asked yourself why Souza was pulled out of position (your term -not mine)? If my memory serves me right, Souza plays left sided CH and Moore right side CH, Souza senses danger and comes across to the RH side to deal with it and gets it wrong. The player who should have been dealing with it first was right side CH (Moore). Ball goes into middle where Moore is and he also cocks it up. The rest is history. You might say that Souza should not have gone, but Moore would never have got there. He is too pedestrian and should not have been signed. I'd back Jewel before Davey anyday for football nous.

    mate, you're wasting your time

the great unwashed have decided that odejayi and moore are to blame for everything, so the fact that they were probably our two better players last night is by the by. souza flatters to deceive, he is rash, and as you say he is often the wrong side of the attacker, but for some reason many think he's better than moore. i agree, moore's distribution is even worse than morgan's was, but with someone decent alongside him like foster, i think we could shore things up a bit.

there were good reasons put forward by a couple of lads in the pub after the game though, as to why moore and odejayi are to blame. three words actually. the first described their size, the second the colour of their skin and the third questioned their parentage. makes you proud doesn't it.
