I know it's going to be difficult for about a dozen or so people, but the fact is Davey has gone and Robins is our manager and as fans we need to draw a line under it. Nobody has won anything in the debate, the only real outcome at the moment is that the club has lost a significant amount of money as a result of the change, we still don't know how the season will pan out. Those who backed Davey right up until the end and didn't believe he should have gone aren't better or worse fans as a result, the more rational fans would and should be able to see both sides of the argument, particularly when considering the timing of Davey's departure. Nothing will change the fact that he has gone now and just like when Ritchie was sacked, there is no real way of proving that we would have been relegated or stayed up. The pro Davey, anti Davey thing on here has gone on far too long and has tainted this board with constant bickering, snarling and biting. In the main, we're all adults and should be able to rise above it. Those who wanted Davey out, it's time to show some class now and leave out the sniping and those who wanted Davey to stay, it's time to transfer that commitment and loyalty. The Davey era has been a weird one from a fan point of view, but it's over and time to move on. Ultimitely, we all want the same thing anyway.
We all need to get behind him. The club has made a decision and pc is not stupid and will only make good decisions for the club. This as got to happen with certain players as well though because will certain players sign a new contract before January. I don't think Anderson will stay and can start to talk to other teams in January. This will also be bad for every other player because they might look at Anderson and think a player like Anderson his leaving and what am i doing here.
I'm punishing myself with an anal intruder as I type. Just gipped. And got a PM from Jay with his number on it.
Hmmm, possibley but you may have to be touched by a priest. What about Hindu? I wonder if there's some kind of footballing karma system? If Luke Potter leads a good life he might come back as Neil Thompson, if he misbehaves he comes back as Matteo Corbo. Or if he kills someone he might end up as Dave Reggis
I believe my work is done having turned Super Tyke and James G into Robins's bestest fans, the BBS at 5 o clock on a Saturday will now be a huge BFC love in session.
What a smashing post Well said, sir. Did you ever know that you're my hero? It must have been cold there in my shadow, to never have sunlight on your face. You were content to let me shine, that's your way, you always walked a step behind. So I was the one with all the glory, while you were the one with all the strength. A beautiful face without a name -- for so long, a beautiful smile to hide the pain. Chorus Did you ever know that you're my hero, and ev'rything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings. It might have appeared to go unnoticed, but I've got it all here in my heart. I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it, I would be nothing with out you. Chorus Did you ever know that you're my hero, and ev'rything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings. Fly, fly, fly away, you let me fly so high. Oh, fly, fly, so high against the sky, so high I almost touch the sky. Thank you, thank you, thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.
I particularly like... ....winding those up who hated Davey with a passion as they all now want Robins's babies. I just don't think they can see it. I've been impressed by his interviews, he's come across well and obviously got a reaction out of the players last night - that's something Mr Davey rarely got. His team selection seemed spot on as well. If ODJ goes today then it'll have been an impressive week (although we'll regret that when Wenger signs him to replace Adebayor next season). PS is this left back we've got on trial 'Championship quality'? Not good enough if not. Why didn't he play 442 with wingers? Ryan Kidd in.
Overpowering claptrap mostly on here. But occasionally a modicum of common sense prevails - like your post.
We beat Darlington in the FA Cup 1st Round 1969/70 And Barrow in Round 2. Make sure you don't forget.
