I think if you check back a few people were concerned about our league performances during the cup run, i think u might find it was the part timers who were mainly full of praise. Im not saying we should even consider sacking davey but im concerned so far.
Im all for Davey Out Poor manager with a poor League record, any other manager would have gone before last season, arrogant stubborn, poor man manager, and cannot play people in their proper positions. As has been stated , a good cup run paper over many cracks , get him out and get Billie Davies or Ken dodd in his place, they can both do a far better job, oh and while we are it , Stevie Wonder to replace Odd job as a striker, im sure he can hit a barn door..

I am on about the league, that is our bread and butter after all besides it dunt matter what any of us say I personally don't think the main man (Patrick Cryne) will be too hasty in sacking him by the way we won 2 of our fist 6 last season so even the first 6 games mean sod all!!!!

I think we should wait and see what happens when everybody is available. Not had the best of luck in last 6-8 months. 3 long termers and the summer has been littered with niggling injuries and work permits. When everyone is available I think we can put out a half decent Championship side, but beyond that we are thin on quality, and quantity in some areas. Got to admit that I do find some of SD's decisions baffling. Hassell in midfield is just not working. And the way some players just disappear (AJ & Christensen) is very frustrating. If we are in the bottom 3 at the turn of the year then it may be time to start seeing who else is available. I don't reckon we will be though.
If Davey was to be replaced as manager i would keep him on in a possition where he was responsible for signing all our players he has made siginings of a much higher quality than i would ever have expected from a manager in his first job
I don't think that this early in the season is the best time to sack a manager, who's to say we wont win the next 4 games.
I would love for him to be sacked and i have been saying that since day one but since he signed a 4 year contract he won't get the sack anytime soon simply cause we always take the cheap option and that is to keep him as long as possible to aviod paying him compensation and having to pay another manager.
Maybe we've got one of the worst records for sacking managers because we've an even worse record in appointing crap managers in the first place??? Just a thought.
That wasn't my point. It was a response to druss saying we always go for the cheap option and won't sack anybody. That's clearly not the case.
