It appears that Davies has decided not to talk contracts till the end of the season, wonder why?

Keeps his options open. Signing on fee wages etc. Would have thought.

More $$'s if we go up. Im sure a championship team would take him if we dont go up. I guess we will keep the spreadsheet in order and just go with walton

Your obsessed with the spreadsheet. Even though Walton was never signed from the spreadsheet he is a accademy goalkeeper.

He said this weeks ago in a press conference. It may well be that Davies fancies a change of club, especially if we don't go up, thinks he can get a better deal elsewhere as a free agent, or the club have suggested we'll be replacing him and aren't willing to offer him something.

    Who can tell.

He does right. The amount of $hit he took last season, I would be doing the same.

He's too good for the 3rd division . Probably fancies a change of scenery anyway . Good luck to him he showed loyalty when others jumped ship .

    I'm sick of this subject.

Adam has been a really great keeper for us. During a bad period of form in the Championship, when most of the team were poor, he too had a bad run of errors & admittedly there wasn't any experienced cover.

We don't have any "experienced cover" in any position, unless we get promoted.

    Get behind the F-ing team.

I don't think he showed loyalty as much as no-one came in for him. Not that I blame any player for moving on.

Can’t see anything detrimental to the player or the club on this thread, also can’t see why you seem to think no-one else should discuss things that ‘your’ sick of.

I think we are all behind the ‘F-ing’ team!l

And continues to get from a small section of our supporters. I wouldn't blame him either.

Just go with Walton? You must be joking. Doesn't this spreadsheet do goalkeepers?

If you throw one into the net every week - as he did last season - you will always get stick. It doesn't matter who you play for.

No great surprise as he's been a good servant to us and probably sees his next contract as the one to set him up for the start of his prime years as a goalkeeper.

He's a very good goalkeeper for me, his weaknesses noted. I think we'll struggle to find an upgrade especially at this level. He's only ever one mistake away from a roasting though and his many good saves and clean sheets tend to be forgotten too easily. His shot stopping his Championship standard, comfortably and if the rest of his game was as good, he wouldn't be here anyway. I hope he signs a new deal but would imagine he'll attract reasonably good offers elsewhere.

He wants a new challenge that was obvious from the interview a couple of weeks back.
