Bobby, Enjoyed it but it was expensive. 3 quid car parking, 15 quid for an adult to go in the house, and 10 quid per meal (food was really good though). It's free just to walk around the estate but you have to pay to walk around the grounds (didn't see how much). It was a beautiful winters day and the fountains and grounds were stunning. The house looks great, all decorated and with a fairy tale theme, but it is dear for what it is. Went with all the family and was a really good Christmas day out and something different. I'd definitely only go on a nice day though. Nightmare getting home to my in-laws through Sheffield, definitely avoid leaving too late
Sheffield generally is a nightmare from 4:30-6:30, unless you know the backroads. I try to get into work early, saves me 30 mins a day sat in traffic swearing at w@nkers.
I'm lucky enough to be able to walk to work in York. Today made me feel really sorry for anyone who has to commute by car.
