There are lots of unscrupulous companies out there who are preying on people in debt, they charge for helping you getting reduced payments consolidations etc. The best place to go for advice is the Citizens advice bureau or contact The National Debt Helpline. The National Debt Helpline are the best, they will get involved on your behalf or will send you prepared letters to send out to your debtors. I have experience in this sort of thing as i worked on the arrears department at Barclays for some time, so if you need any help i will gladly give you any advice that you need.
