Exactly..... Woodrow apart we lack quality regardless of which of our attacking players play. Quantity over quality never gets success.
There's nothing to be embarrassed about. I bet the Boro fans will come out with the same old familiar stuff about how good our build up play is, about how we're in a false position etc. We are not in a false position. We lack a few decent players - the crucial ones who supply the essential defence or attack components. But we play it about in the middle of the park quite pleasingly. Some players are not good enough though.
Mowatt has quality too imo. He's trying to do too much at the moment and therefore making some mistakes but he, like Woodrow have quality and are trying their very best to lead and make something happen. I feel for both of them. I think there's a strong possibility one or both will go in January but if not they'll definitely go in the summer. And I won't blame them, I'd want out too.
Maybe you are right but you have to give yourself the best chance with the players you have. Dougall should have played at the base of the diamond not Bahre. We need to protect the back four, which is often a back 2 with the full backs playing so high.
In truth I don't think most of the players are good enough at the moment. They may be in the future but they're not right now.
Had to wince for Bobinho on the iFollow commentary when he said that the Boro centre backs were 'good EXPERIENCED defenders' followed by a pause whilst you could sense that he had realised that he had mentioned the word that could get him sacked and he tried to rescue it by saying...….and that's why they cost so much money.

2 managers and its about players in the right positions, team structure and balance between defence and attack. It is more important we have that organisation given teams have more players of Championship quality.
Andersen, Cavare & Diaby, are some of the worst defenders I've seen pull on a Barnsley shirt. Clueless. Ben Williams & Radlinger are the only two defensive players to come out with any credit. Playing Woodrow deep is also mind bogglingly crazy. Hoping we can put up a good performance versus Crewe next year. We are in freefall with a set of owners that have no footballing brain. This season is already over. That game was there for the taking, but we gave them a tap in & had zero response. In reality it could have been 3 or 4.
