most reports of the Hull match quoted defensive errors as the reason for our 1st two goals-what they failed to say was that they were FORCED errors

In both cases the forwards put the defenders under pressure causing doubt and the end result was two excellent goals

Let's have more of the same until May 7th

Plus both goals still needed a considerable burst of pace to beat the defenders

I.e. if it had have been Nardi, he'd have got nowhere near it- defensive errors or not.

    Oh no, forgotten.

Istvan showed us what we have been missing for ages: A quality "big man". His movement, control, pace and finishing were things Rico could only dream of.

Southampton- I'll give him- BUT he beat the offside trap there

When he beats the offside trap- Nardi can get behind the last man and get his shot off. He's already through there see.

Its when he has to run for a ball and get there first that he shows his weakness. If its a 50/50 ball he generally can't be arsed.

Those first two on Satdi, Pete and Steve still had work to do. My guess is that Nardi wouldn't have scored either

    and just think....................

as scorer of the goal Nardy would have started instead of Peter if he hadn't been booked-great bit of refereeing :D

I've been a bit unfair on Nardi

The first goal is the type he's score- just watched it again. Long ball, lucky deflection and follows up to score.

Second one- he'd never have chased it so I stand by that one.

And I don't remember him heading a goal, not reacently anyroad. So he'd not have got the third.

So yeah, nice one Mr Thorpe from Suffolk :D

    maybe?

Am not 100% certain to be honest becaue i know he misses a few chances but to me that is down to form and confidence rather than ability, at least he gets in the right position to miss which is a start!
