he was only on loan Archey. He remained the keeper for Sheff Wed. I think he played 2 games on loan for us
Looking at people they have announced so far, it could suggest they are limited in who they can sign. That would make me think Conor is just rumour at best.
I loved that song. Just looked them up and found out they broke up (again) in January after the singer recorded an anti-vax song and Video for Robert F Kennedy Jr - it also cost him his slot as the announcer on Jimmy Kimmel.
Currently they are still under embargos and business plans - hard to see them being given approval to pay the wages Conor would be able to get elsewhere - also I cant see him dropping to a 3rd Tier club - he will easily get a Championship side. He wont be signing for either us or Derby
Now linked with 34 year old David McGoldrick and also in talks to re-sign 37 year old centre half Curtis Davies.
https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sp.../derby-county-transfer-news-hourihane-7291980 Also in talks with connor. I think conors on the decline but still a decent player in league one.
Huddersfield and Luton were linked. Derby not learning from their silly spending despite just being taken over.
Not sure how the EFL can sign off on it. They were days away from liquidation a week or so ago due to stupid spending from a previous owner leading to points deductions etc. Now finally got a new owner and are signing Conor on what must be over 10/15k a week in L1.
Surely league 1 salary rules must come into play when signing new players, i know the players that are already under contract don't count?
I think there are some rules on max offers etc. But it must be fairly high as didn't Owls get Bannan to sign a new deal last year and he is on circa 20k a week apparently. Plus those two Rotherham ones they got are on 15/16k a week apparently.
Disgusting isn't it, and disappointing that Hourihane could be going there as well. Although he was never in the picture for re-joining us.
Yeah, it just irks a little, that whilst we’re ‘cutting our cloth accordingly’ and trying to juggle the finances by selling our best players, a team that has broken rules and somehow seemingly coming out of a calamity of an Administration, can sign players of Hourihane’s stature ( for L1 at least)
