    I go to Preston,
You go to Frickley - Frickley, Frickley.

You are not a 'true fan'.
    Just accept it.

RE: That was probably The Full Ponty

do you remember that segment on fantasy football, years back, where they showed a picture of peter b, and frank skinner went on to he didnt think it was fair he got all that stick - you didnt even notice how f..king ugly he was, except that when it cut back to the photo a single sweaty ball was hanging out of his shorts.

    very rotherham lass.

    no he wasn't!

tho if you mean by nominated that the Darlington right back gave him a vote, then maybe.

    Copy and paste from Teamtalk:

Barnsley have completed the signing of Martin Devaney from Watford on a free transfer.

The former Cheltenham winger, a pre-season target of Tykes manager Andy Ritchie, opted for a switch to Watford in the summer but failed to settle at Vicarage Road.

"He's a player we were chasing earlier this summer and he was very interested in coming then, but wanted to play in the Championship with Watford," Ritchie told PA Sport.

"Unfortunately for him, fortunately for us, it failed to work out for him there and we're very pleased to have him on board.

"He gives us lots of options and can play wide right and wide left and gives us cover for Chris Shuker which we haven't had.

"He's a class player and scored 11 goals playing wide for Cheltenham last season."

is this the Sky team of the season?

cos I'm on about the PFA team, as picked by the players from that division. Not Jeff Stelling, in a studio, watching the goals each week.

with the PFA team, the entire division is (technically) nominated, as in you could choose them (if you were a player). But he wasn't one of the 11 picked.

I don't know if what you describe sounds like those divisional teams of the week...where Barnsley's 5th best player is picked to be a part of a divisional team based on..well...what?

How can ppl compare performances in 12 matches on a single day? Anyway, I digress. What team are you on about?

    or more worryingly...

"he's not even as good as Chris Shuker"

    Cover for = Competition for

I'd play Shuker everytime we're on SKY. otherwise, Devaney, Burns, Kell, McPhail and Howard in a 5 man midfield. if we're forced in that direction by having more midfield players than owt else.

still like to see a striker brought in.

    To be fair.

    I hope Frickley flourish.
    A real community based club.

Have you considered renting out Old Trafford?

It was the PFA team,Devaney was a nominee so was Paul Hayes, neither managed to get in the team of the season,Yeovil had 4 players Weald(keeper),Way,Rose and Jevons in the final team.

    ahh, ok

I'm not sure they have "nominations" as such, but maybe the PFA have also added those who just missed the cut.

Cos as I say, the PFA don't just tell the players "you can only vote for these 100". The players can vote for anyone in their division (perhaps as long as they've played a certain number of games)

were any of our players close in div 1? 2nd thoughts, I might already know the answer...
