No, he actually is tee-total. Unless he's made a new season resolution to copy his teammates.

    RE: Plenty

Don't think it's a power thing with PR to be honest.

The Welsh FA is run by a bunch of freeloaders who are way, way too old to be considered for SAGA holidays.

They've done sterling work for sunday league teams for years and years and therefore warrant a place on the various FAW committees. It's unbelievable how many committee members there are (I'm sure it's around 150!) and yet you can never get them to covene a meeting when a matter of urgency occurs.

For instance, when that fat b'stard trundle and his mate tait (never actually heard of him before) held up their infamous anti-Cardiff flags etc the FAW sprang into action - 3 months later and after the season had finished!

When we played in one of the former Russian states a few years ago there were around 6 committe members who made the trip. We played at San Marino a few weeks later and they filled the plane (with their spouses as well on the freebie) and some of the players had to catch a later flight! The committee members were most put out that the players even considered themselves more important than them.

The FAW do nothing whatsoever in the interests of the 3 professional clubs in Wales which is a sad indictment on them.

Up until around 10 years ago the three clubs took it in turns to have a representative on the main committee and our interests were served.

Since then, we have seen our route to Europe (via the oldest cup competition in the world, the Welsh Cup) taken away from us and seen standards in referreeing plummet because their access to the Football League has been denied - all because the FAW want to preserve the League of Wales (watched by average crowds of 200). It's amateurs running an amateur game.

It's got to the point where Cardiff are currently exploring the possibility of abandoning the FAW to come under the governing body of the FA - and the FAW don't like it one bit!

never understood why disciplinary matters for Swansea Cardiff and Wrexham aren't dealt with by the FL-you should all be in the FL IMHO

    RE: tend to agree

Trouble is the Welsh FA, along with the FA, are one of the founder members of UEFA. The FAW fear the mainly African vote for the amalgamation of the four home unions and, ultimately, to play as GB. This will destroy their position and all the perks that come with it as they are certainly not fit to represent what would be a united association - and they know it. Coffin-dodging, freeloading amateurs is the only description of them, I'm afraid.

They, therefore, try to make out that the League of Wales is a stand-alone, competetive and worthwhile league. That is why they give European competition places exclusively to LoW clubs and have made Newport County play home games outside Wales for years, admittedly in the past now.

I also feel that while we (and swansea/Wrexham) play in a competition run by the FA, we should come under the governance of that ruling body. It's a nonsense that a different ruling body should make decisions which affect a competition which is out of their jurisdiction.

Believe it or not, if a disciplinary matter comes up relating to the 3 Welsh clubs, the FAW will go over the top in their punishments so as not to appear too lenient to other FA's, particularly the English FA.

In our case, we've only EVER had one sending off overturned - and that was last season after PR had told them of our intentions to join the FA.

    i agree

Why do we allow this anomaly to continue? There's a perfectly good league in Wales, admittedly filled with teams who'd barely make the Conference South in England, so if the team is from Wales they should play in it.

There was all that uproar about allowing Celtic and Rangers to play in England for the money - but it's OK for the Welsh clubs to do it?

I honestly wouldn't have minded the 3 being in the FL, as long as....

we were allowed to play in that poxy Welsh cup to get into europe...

Think it has been way too long now to change anything like that TBH..... but if they can suddenly decide where the blunts play, and relegate boston etc, and even contemplate letting rangers and celtic in (oh and Arbroath playing in scotland, I think its them) then they can do what the bloody well like can't they....
