could be the running striker we need in the 3-5-2 formation. Just a thought. Think of his goals at Plymouth etc. His record shows that he scores regularly and is still Cheltenham's all-time leading scorer. Could be a new lease of life for him. His style is what we need and his history as a goalscoring winger is similar to that of John Hendrie at the stage of his career when we signed him. Worth a try?

Surely we have enough strikers

without resorting to playing a midfielder up there.

He isn't even in the same universe as John Hendrie.

Forget about Devaney , as hopefully SD has , My one hope for the poor start to the season is that the penny has finally dropped .

'poor start to the season'.......................is it ???

I don't think so
We came up against a very 'expensive and up for it team' in the Coventry match
We have had a brand new team thrown together over the last few weeks
We go to Colchester and get a point
So we ain't doing so badly
Give it 6 matches before even thinking about judgeing the team
In saying that, I expect us to be bottom of the league after 6 matches and then slowly start to climb away from the bottom 8

But we will see
Lets not judge just yet
Like I keep saying, I'm much more confident than this time last season

You expect us to be bottom after 6 games.

Do I get double bonus supporter points for saying I expect us to be bottom after 12?
