Does anyone know the dimensions of the pitch at Oakwell? I am organising the half time entertainment next year at the club but I cant use the goal mouth area so I need to have an idea of dimensions so I can make sure it is fair Cheers

Cheers. No it doesn't involve a shed! just a glorified penalty shootout for kids aged between 8 & 16 but with a chance to win up to £100. Will post with more information when it is finalised.
RE: are you only organising this for one game? No its for every home game throughout the season. As I said the format has yet to be finalised and all the minute details sorted
is there no chance of having some half time entertainment for the 7-10k in the stands instead of a little competition that will be entertaining only for the few involved? It is why the 'entertainment' of previous seasons has failed. cross bar challenge was boring, only the few involved were entertained, the shed thing only entertained those involved, previous penalty shoot-out did the same.
Well I thought the "running down the side of the pitch" thing was brilliant That is ....for those involved
Apart from a game of bingo or a visit from the twins, give ma an idea how you can entertain 7 to 10k fans in 15 minutes?
variety local comedian, karaoke competition, maybe a dance act on the pitch, skills competition with players against each other (subs, reserves, academy lads) having to do things like running 30 metres without the ball touching the floor for example or taking throw-ins and hitting targets, same with free kicks etc(could run for an entire season with players being knocked out to give an overall season winner), a mini version of football idol to run the length of the season with fans doing different challenges and the eventual winner getting a trial with barnsley. something a little bit more interesting for those watching is what is needed, not just different formats of the same thing we've had for ten years.
i'd forgot about that. I think the only thing that barnsley have done that even slightly got the interest of the ordinary fan was the legends on the pitch and even then it was a bit poor when they were scraping the barrel for some players.
nothing at all wrong with having the action on the pitch shown on the tv's with the halftime scores scrolling along the bottom or just on for 30 seconds (we don't realy need to know how frickley are doing)
