What providers do you use, and what's the service and speed like?

With BT and I'm having no end of problems.

    Ta!

I'm with Sky. Get up to 4mb download and no problems at all.
I was with BT and got nothing near 4mb and they kept capping me.

I'm also with BT, mate. After a few months of poor performances from them earlier this year, the summer months have been top notch. The speed seems to have slowed a little this past couple of days, but I'm still happy with the response.

I've noticed a fall-off this week. But I'm getting about 138kbps which is ridiculous for what I'm paying!

Cheers Houseman. Really peed off with BT after the hassle I've had this week. Will take your recommendation on board!

No idea what I'm getting, so I'll blame Keith Hill. The poor sod can do no right with some people, so he'll not notice this additional abuse!

Get just over 1M which is about as much as the line can support where I live. Cheaper than most other suppliers.

I've already contacted him about it. Apparently him and Flitcroft are "going to pay me a visit". I'd best get the kettle on!;-)

Cheers mate. I've thought about them. What they like if you have problems?

He gets hassle for being self confident, sometimes being unshaven, wearing jeans, preparing his defenders for an upcoming match, having a go back at some fans. As he can't do any right, he might as well be blamed for poor broadband speed and Gaddafi not being found!!Lol
If he pops round to our house, he can have a glass of red wine.

    Re: PlusNet

Never really had any problems, usually if anything goes wrong I just power down the router and power up again.

Only interaction I've had with them on the phone was about my phone line rather than broadband and they dealt with that fine.

Only down side is they are a bit dee dar ish.

I'd better keep it quiet if I swop then!

    Thanks for that.

There's nothing on the internet about what's gone off this summer on our dig. Anyway, anyone caught copying and pasting any of their work off the internet automatically gets kicked off the course and rightly so.
I'll certainly pass on your love and best wishes, mate.

It's easy not to get caught when you don't do it in the first place. It's simply not worth the hassle.
Can you excuse me for a moment, please, whilst I climb down from my high horse and polish my halo?Lol

Is it a shire horse then?

I agree with you, when I was doing my Open Uni course there was times I could have just cheated, but in the end you are only cheating yourself!

You cheeky old bugger, it's a good job I love you!!
You're right, though, you ARE only kidding yourself. Apparently it was a serious problem a few years ago. Now, when you start a university course, you sign up to say you won't commit the offence and accept the consequences if you do. At Hull we have to send our work to a site called 'Turnitin', which automatically checks your work against what's been produced on the internet.
