It was suggested in an earlier post that Barnsley would not let Howard go to Sheff Utd without there being a sale agreement to be effective in January. Was this not he case with Nyatanga? And look what happened there. So if Howard goes on loan, fails to impress, would Sheff Utd be able to turn away from the deal with Howard returning to us, only six months left on his contract after which Barnsley get nothing. Is my understanding of this correct or is there something that compels Sheffield Utd to buy in Jan?? Thanks in anticipation of anyones help
i think the club are not telling there bread and butter fans the WHOLE story here. i am starting to wonder why i bother at times

In that case why did this not work with Nyatanga - was it because the player decided against the move - or was there no contract in his case?
there will be a clause in the contract which means sheff u have agreed to purchase him in jan. with nyatanga this was not the case - he had agreed personal terms but we didn't have that clause in the contract with Derby.
