Im having a ok lesson in my mind.
But my driving instructor saying im having a very good lesson.

For example yesterday, i had a lesson and we did 5 turns in road.4 were really good and i forgot ti do my checks but said as soon has i moved.
Im remembering and listening really well but im too hard on one self.

Anyone got any tips on not been so harsh on myself?
    thanks.

Perhaps your instructor is just being nice to you and trying to encourage you. one of your turns wasnt very good (I assume as you said 4 out of 5 were good) and you forgot to do your checks. So you didn't do brilliantly on your lesson did you.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you're learning and will make mistakes but there is nothing at all wrong with having an 'ok' lesson. If your instructor says you were brilliant i'd say it means you were good, if he says good it means ok, if he says ok then you were poor and if he says you were poor then never get back in a car again. He's there to encourage you as much as teach you how to drive and so he'll try to build your confidence by making you sound better than you are.

Keep going at it and if you think you did ok then you did ok. What he thinks about your progress doesnt really matter, it wont help you pass any quicker. The last thing you want to do is get big headed and over confident and think you're brilliant behind the wheel because if you do that you won't learn anything. Stick to being ok, theres nothing wrong with it at all.

    Don't drink before a lesson.

    Don't crash.

Don't use the instructors penis as a gearstick.

    Don't ask him for directions.

Don't tell him Sir Alex knows more than he does.

Don't ask me for advice on driving as I don't drive.

    Jesus be with you.

    Thanks
I asked him the first lesson to tell me the truth.
he will tell someone they did it wrong, he learned my sister and i asked her.

Also with turn in road, how do you do it in 5 turns. always do it in 3 turns.

Get your Theory out of the way, I know a few folk who've spent loads on lessons and have up given up 'cause they couldn't pass the Theory!

What do you mean 'how do you do it in 5 turns'? It's simple, turn the steering wheel less than when you do it in 3 and you'll do it in 5.

A turn in the road can be done in 101 turns if you want to and there's nothing wrong with it. In some roads it is impossible to do it in 3 moves. If the road is too narrow then 5 might be the least you can manage it in, sometimes 7 can be needed (rarely) and if thats the case you won't fail for doing it.

This thread really made me laugh. I'm still giggling now.

I remember when I was learning to drive and at the start my instructor told me that if he had to use the dual controls he'd tell me why. Sure enough he slammed on the anchors at a roundabout and said "Neil, I had to stop us then because, well, otherwise we were going to die."

HT, let me know if you plan on driving down this way.

You'll probably find that when you do your theory test you find it easier than you expected. You seem like the kind of person who remembers facts and figures so I think you'll do fine on it. I disagree though, I don't think you should rush your theory test until you are at a reasonable level with your driving. The last thing you want is to pass your theory only to run out of time to take the actual test.
