MARK Kinsella has reflected upon The Saddlers' final day defeat at the hands of Barnsley. "There was only going to be one team that was going to win when it was 11 v 11," he said. "We played at a high tempo and they couldn't live with us in the second half.
"Once we got back on level terms it looked as though we would go on and get a second, but in the end today summed up our season.
"We should have played like we did in the second half all season. Even though we didn't win today, I hope that the supporters will go home happy with the second half showing and positive about what the future holds in store."
Barnsley boss, Andy Ritchie added: "All credit to Walsall because they came out in the second half and caught us napping. I wouldn't say that the sending off was a turning point, but it was certainly a factor.
"It's a great feeling to get into the play-offs and the lads are elated.... I may even allow them to have a little drink tonight!"

Only for 15 mins or so did they have us on the back foot. Other than that he's talking complete ******.
Who cares anyway Tina luv, we've done it!!

Yeah I agree We had weathered the storm and had already got the upper hand back when their guy got sent off. Was a help to us no doubt though as he was comfortably their best player before he was dismissed
Aye we did Harrow - just pretty fed up with Kinsella's comment
Even worse listening to the radio coming home neither '5 Live', nor 'Talk Sport' gave us any recognition or acknowledgement of our achievements. Within the space of an hour on 5 live I was forced to listen to Martin 'I used to play for Spurs you know so I am an important media darling' Allen's interview TWICE
All the sympathy on the radio was for poor old Brentford who chucked it all away
The same Brentford who, win or lose, have been guaranteed a Sky slot during this last season regardless of performance , in fact all the teams in the top 6 have had home fixtures on Sky except poor old Barnsley
I really want to go on and Stuff 'em all out of sight.
Bet it'll nearly kill 'em bringing the Sky cameras this far 'oop north' Barstewards!

I always used to complain about Barnsley not getting away games on Sky...we never got it....which is more use to season ticket holders to home games. At least now we are getting away games on.
yeh never really bothers me that they do not put home games on as i am always there. It bothers me when radio de da puts home games for anyone should always be and away team really unless its a massive game
