I'm sorry to say I missed it. I started reading Introduction To Entertainment Index And Performance Index, and lost track of time. What year is it, please?
just caught up with this thread....calming down after one of the greatest sporting moments in history. in what way on gods earth was Emma disrespectful and ungracious. ....and why does henman make you puke?
Well said indeed. a unique and incredible achievement. it beggars belief that anyone can find anything to moan about after witnessing her performances and wonderful approach to the whole tournament. staggering. absolutely staggering.
F1 has always done that. They did it every time max verstappen didn't win as a teenager didn't they? Football does it all the time. It happens regularly at the Olympics etc.
Worth pointing out that she didn't arrive on a boat fleeing persecution, both her parents are/were "in finance". Money talks.
Some Brits are only happy when our sports stars blow it and then they go into melt down, what a terrible attitude. Not like USA or Australia.
Beyond phenomenal what she’s just done. History and the record books tell you that. Personally thought the two interviews were gracious and articulate. Two young people, on the biggest stage in tennis, handled themselves brilliantly for me. I totally feel for Fernandez. Visibly distraught immediately after, but handled the interview with poise and grace. So so tough for her, and I totally get the message Naomi Osaka is trying to bring, around post-match interviews. Give her SPOTY right now. Not that I ever watch the $hite like.
It must be hard to do a speech when you have just lost and must be feeling s---. After all they are human beings not robots, just don't get some people.
I’d like to see Sarah Storey give her a run for her money, but would suspect Emma will win. Wouldn’t object to either winning.
I sort of watched it with the current Mrs. DR. She went to watch it in bed. I turned over to watch a bit of MOTD when she was having that injury dealt with. When I turned back she was scrambling about in the stands giving 2 harassed security guards a hard time trying to keep up with her. C'est la vie.
Well done young lady' a phenomenal achievement ' lets just hope the gutter press don't go to work on her as they do with anyone in sport that achieves...
