So of course, for a lunchtime kick off under blue skies, all the floodlights are on. I’m not blaming the club for this, there will doubtless be some EFL directive that they have to be on; probably to make sure it’s bright enough for the goal line technology. Or maybe it’s for the cameras for sky. But it does seem absolutely ridiculous.
I thought that was odd. We are either not as skint as we think, EFL/Sky demanded they were put on or we just like to waste cash/energy.
Well the fact we are still likely paying wages to Obbi Oulare, and some others I won’t name that are still in the squad but about as much use, I’d suggest wasting money is something they achieve even if they don’t want to… At one point in the second half the sun was really bright, it was a lovely scene. And the lights blaring at full power were doing next to nothing whatsoever. Wouldn’t even like to hazard a guess as to how many wasted kwh’s there were, and at what monetary cost to the club.
