Well I'm off out so can I trust England to carry on in the same vein?

Excellent win. Our bowlers kep it very tight which was good to see. Another great performance
from Bairstow as well. Onto Durham and New Zealand now. Let's hope we can keep it going.

I know it means nowt but if recent performances come into it then we should win. Hard to judge. Come on England. Decent performance today

Much better with Plunkett in there and Bairstow getting to open with his mate again. Johnny dealt with criticism from the likes of Vaughan in the perfect way. I don't think India will be too bothered that losing has made it harder for Pakistan. New Zealand were making the semis easily, but now if we beat them and Pakistan beat Bangladesh by enough they go out.

Cricket must be rigged after that! Those last 6 overs were awful to watch

Great win. Bizarre from India at end like said in commentary what’s point in coming short with 5 wickets left!! Indians must ask themselves if they went for it what would those 5 wickets commute to?
Fizzled out at end but great game, good all round performance.
Only small matter of New Zealand if to do it on our own.

comm on bbc were also critical of the indian ending, bit of an anti-climax for the 1000's of their fans there, stark contrast to the pakistan game yesterday who rallied from what looked like a certain defeat
think NZ will be a much tougher game, with pakistan v bangladesh playing later both will go into the game needing a win, though a rainy day in durham would suit better

Really enjoyed that. Never felt safe until the last knockings.

Looked a bit iffy that Pakistan v Afghanistan game yesterday, Pakistan couldnt get a run, then captain decided to bowl himself and threw down proper lolipops, very iffy.

Fair point about the last 10 overs from India but I felt it underplayed some absolutely brilliant captaining of the side. The England bowlers were exceptionally disciplined and just strangled India out of the game.

Don't get all the talk about how India ended their innings, but nothing is really being said about them not reaching 30 in their first ten overs.

I avoided the score until the highlights. The trouble with the highlights show is that you have little awareness of how tight the bowling is and how far a team is getting behind the run rate. I was just seeing boundary after boundary with loads of wickets in hand and thinking we were going to lose it.

They were protecting their net run rate apparently.

Fair enough. A score higher than 330 hasn't been achieved in a run chase and they needed 338 and got off to a slow start.

When Kohli and Rohit were in, I thought they were setting up for a situation where they'd need 100 off 10, with Dhoni at the crease. But once they got there, Dhoni batted for a red ink.

Result would've been touch and go if it were a semi final / final.
