For a pre season friendly. It's good to see a team of ours trying to play football.

Sounded pretty positive from the commentary too! Can't wait for the season to start now

Me too. Very encouraging and a really fresh and bright feel against a strong hull team. Some significantly sound performances.....particularly impressed with Abbot. Rhys Oates looks strong. Nana showed electric pace. George Smith had a cracker. The new lads also looked v good. Maybe just maybe the red Phoenix could be rising again.....

Great to hear that optimism abounds. From the depths of the end of last season and even last weekend when we hadn't made the signings we would have hoped, the anticipation of the new season grows. Things starting to look promising. Then again, a team full of kids? You never win anything with kids!

Kids combined with some hungry more experienced players (Hourihane, Bailey, Winnall) a couple of older heads (eg Crainie and Lewin) and we might prove to be a force. Re- energised and refocused under some strong leadership. I'm optimistic.

How did we set up first half? I couldn't work out the formation and who was playing where from the line up. Doesn't help that I'm not sure where half the academy lads play.
