Joking apart I used to be the most patriotic person in the world, but Britain is getting more and more rubbish by the day.
Let me precis: Lack of respect in the community, particularly amongst young people Throwaway culture Decline in educational/literacy/motivational standards Massive variation in public sector services dependent on postcode (schools/waste disposal/healthcare/council services) Working hours Cost of living Serious crime in poor areas Lack of a co-ordinated public transport system coupled with overcrowding of roads. And I'm not getting enough sex. Will that do you?
We are still living the life of luxury compared to 99% of the rest of the World I bet the Chinese moan about 90 hour weeks, meat too expensive to buy and air so thick with smog they could write their name in it. And chopsticks as well, I bet they moan about them too.</p>

True but we shouldn't compare ourselves to the worst... ...we should aspire to be the best. Compare ourselves against the countries with the best quality of life... Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Scandanavia, Ireland...
Bring back the good old days! I think there should be a cull of folk who think golden past/ dark present/ scary future. Wouldn't be that many of us other folk left would there!
