So as per it’s absolutely awful trust pilot reviews it seems that it’s living up to its shocking reputation with us also with missed deadlines and no updates.

Does anyone bother doing any due diligence at Oakwell?

Also think it’s very poor that Barnsley have not commented on it publicly either but then again can only judge them by their in action.

Due diligence? Of course they did.

Were they aware of the issues with fanatics and the likelihood of it becoming a worse service for fans? Yes to that too.

Did they care, or at least care enough to not just do it anyway? The answer is apparent. I won’t be ordering anything online anymore. They won’t lose any sleep over it but it’s probably £200 a year between me and the kids. And I won’t go in the shop before a match as it’s a cattle market.

Not a thing learnt from the Hex nightmare. We really should do our homework better before going in to partnerships.

100% - Fanatics are the number 1 sporting good store in the world and it's not even close. Saying we didn't do due diligence as though they're a tiny unknown entity and likening it to the literal pyramid scheme we had with Hex is a bit silly.

They just don't care about the fans as long as they have to do less work. They'd be happy if they could outsource the players

Regardless of size I would still look to be providing the best experience for the people it’s meant to benefit. Again looks like we have doomed ourselves to failure again despite promised improvement/experience.

Again think this is another thing that needs to be raised at the fans forum.

No they aren't. They're not in the top 10.

I mean i agree they are huge in the US but they're nowhere near the biggest.

Putting the replica shirts to one side, has anyone ordering anything else from Fanatics (BFC related) and if so, what was the service and timescales like?

I've had 2 grandkids born since the shirts were revealed. Ordered 2 baby kits first day they appeared on the site, delivery date has passed (kit and babies) and still no word as to when the kits will actually arrive.
Other Grandad can get his bloody West Ham kit tho.....poor kids stuck between a rock n a hard place......Tyke or an Iron.

*Edit....just checked order, now says expected delivery Aug 24th, pretty sure it was 8th when I originally placed the order, as 8th was a few days before baby 2's due date of 12th.

Not bothered about Fanatics. I would rather we got out stuff out months sooner, no matter who did it.

My sons kit was meant to be out on the 7th GK kit. That’s been and gone with no update whatsoever. Wouldn’t be surprised if the home kit date comes and passes with the same thing happening now tbh.

Still replica shirt related. I ordered mine direct from Fanatics and was given an order no. and despatch date of 8th by email. Got further email saying 18th with a expected delivery of 24th. No reason for delay given so I asked by return email for a reason. Unfortunately the email address does not accept replies. So went on website and did the online chat thing, gave them my order no and it wasn't recognised. It just repeatedly asked for order No. which I had cut and pasted in. Got no further so gave it up as a bad job. This may be a top company, but their customer service is s**t.

In fairness, Trust Pilot is a bag of absolute w@nk only visited by people who have something to moan about, rather than the 99% of happy customers.

Yep tried the online chat thing yesterday and today. After you put in the order number it shows you what you ordered then asks if you want to chat to an agent, when you click yes it just says none available and that’s it. Crap.

Fair enough, I'm sure I'd heard they were. Maybe it's on a specific metric or in a way that their competitors are excluded. They provide everything for the NFL, NHL, MLB etc though.

My point still stands, it's not like they're some tiny tailors in the middle of China that we haven't done due diligence for.

EDIT: found it and it's apparently "licensed sportsware"

It's pretty obvious there's issues across lots of clubs with kit supply so I don't think it's particularly fair to criticise for that, although comms could've been better.

It's also worth considering the effort, cash & resources that goes into running your own 'shop'. I get why they've done it, I can't imagine it'd be forever but at a time when cash is at a premium then it makes sense.

Has anything that's been out sourced actually improved?
