There are idiots that frequent the ponty that will get this club into trouble.

In East stand too, they threw a missile and have set a flare off at other matches
Fair play to Walton, he took the fans " comments" to him in good spirit and turned round ans applauded at the end.

Usually do it afterwards too, but doesn't really fit with a loss. That's why sonething like Sunshine on Leith or You'll never walk alone works better imo.

First bottle came from East Lower. Other than that agree with everything you've said.

I left early. I don't usually. In fact, it's only the third time in about 30 years. I've stayed behind in wind, rain, snow and sun. Clapped the players whether they won, drew or lost. Clapped the players off during the days when they didn't acknowledge the fans as much and regularly just went down the tunnel as quickly as they thought they'd get away with.

But last night I just wanted to get home. To beat the traffic. To put the result and the disappointment behind me. To walk my dogs and then share a bit of supper with my daughter.

Next time I feel like that I'll be sure to canvas the opinion of the good supporter police before making my decision.

I'm the same - left early but I hardly ever do that, and I only went five minutes early. That helped though because there was less of a problem walking up Oakwell Lane than usual. I'm usually dodging the idiots trying to drive down the lane at the end of a match but that was impossible last night. As I said in another thread, there were parked cars on both sides so only a single lane in the middle. Result - total gridlock with a few trying to go up and more trying to go down. I'm glad I didn't share that experience with hundreds of others who would normally be making that walk up hill after the full whistle at the same time as me.

I left on 85 minutes. I had my grandson with me and its a school night. Last time there was a big crowd, against Wednesday, we didn't get home until gone 11.15pm. It took 45 minutes of going nowhere before we got out of the estate (Kia dealership one) onto Ponty Road. He was shattered the next day and so was I.

Would we have stayed if we were winning. Yes of course. But we weren't. The game had gone and so I prioritised my grandson's welfare. If that means I'm pathetic, so be it. I can live with that.

I'm still at the ground. I stopped applauding the players, then I spent an hour applauding a bloke who was folding up the Preedy/Cryne flag. After that I applauded some pigeons. Slept in my seat, then woke up mid-morning to applaud the grounds staff. There's a couple of people clearing the stand of litter now, so I'll stay long enough to give them some applause, then I'm off home for my tea.

Pathetic. A true fan would stay there applauding until the Peterborough game.

2.50 burger from the van on the way home and then trying to not be killed by a car on Oakwell Lane.

I’m sure it doesn’t bother them too much when the money hits the bank account.
