You have to join the queue without even knowing how much the tickets are

Saw him at St James Park Newcastle in 1984. Great gig.

I know it is supply and demand etc but these current ticket prices for the bigger acts are outrageous. Prices a lot of fans out of the equation.

We nearly booked for a one-day festival in Las Vegas last May. Tickets were ~$250 each, but when I got to the booking system it added an extra $80+ each on for booking fee. It would have been $1,000 for the day for 3 of us - and even then it had sold out within 5 minutes.

Had a similar experience with fees when looking to book NFL tickets for NY whilst on honeymoon. Nearly doubled the fee.

I went to see him at villa park in June, the initial demand for tickets when they were released really drove the prices up, it was mental, i bided my time and ended up paying £75 plus booking fee. I’m planning on doing the same for Dublin, I’m confident of getting tickets so My first priority was to book a hotel, I know how they sky rocket when there’s a big event on, I managed to get premier inn in the city centre for £70 a night, I checked prices last night on booking.com and for the same 2 nights hotels are asking anything from £450 upwards,

3 of us went to Dublin about 10 years ago ........ like you, booked flights and hotel only.
Got tickets from a lass on Ebay - she brought them to hotel for us. She was only willing to sell four, but she sold them at Face Value. We sold the 4th to a guy outside the RDS arena for a small profit.

Great gig, and we missed him supping in a Temple Bar pub by about 2 minutes.

Yeah he’s renowned for going into bars wherever he’s playing and either getting up on karaoke or joining in with one of the local singers…I’m confident of getting tickets at a sensible price…not what the robbing gets ticketmaster charge.

Went to Wembley for a Springsteen gig a few years back and the sound quality set up was shockingly bad.
