You may not know this but there's been a bit of sneaking about on this board down the years and Patrick Cryne's involvement/support/influence has not always been apparent. You could do your credibility a great deal of good by making a statement one way or the other as to whether you're personally acquainted
i command ye.... not really but do you mean aquainted as in pay's his ages, take him out for tea or lives on th same planet as bungle .
I'm not sure, it's all too confusing I would say to go with what it says on the official site but according to the official site they will be announcing prices for the carpark for the 03/04 season soon and there is an organisation called the supporters society and another one with another name. Neither of which are the one that has been around for a couple of years now.
I don't even know who Mark Stokes is? Can somebody enlighten me please?
Whoever he is though, at least he has the bottle to stand up and be counted by posting under his own name, so fair play for that.

He is the editor/publisher Or whatever fancy title he has, basically he runs barnsley football monthley/weekly. He's been getting stick because he works closely with the club in producing the magazine so his objectivity is questionable in some eyes. Because his reports have all seemed surprisingly positive and not a bad word has been spoken about the club people have naturally (and maybe wrongly) assumed that the club has some kind of hold over him, either financially or simply in that if he criticises then he loses his access. In some eyes this was further demonstrated by his post further down the board where he calls into question Red Rains right to criticise the running of the academy and puts forward his own opinion that seems to totally contradict that of other posters. ie that the academy is doing really well. People also questioned whether or not he would risk putting anything negative in his magazine or publishing a story damaging to the clubs/employees reputation if it was true and I cant remember what answer he gave or if he gave one. In Marks defence, I asked him straight out whether the club gets to vet the stories before publishing and whether they can order a story to be pulled and he said that the club does not see the magazine until after publication.
Not ignoring you, been on anther thread and I am also working on a motorbike magazine, which should be an indication that I do not work for the club.
