I am no big tennis fan, but the name of Rodger Federer keeps croping up on the sports pages and on the media. Is this guy the greatest ever tennis player that as ever lived, or does pistol Pete Samprass take that accolade. I have gone back in time and thought about Laver, Borg, Mc Enroe, and Connors, but Federer and Samprass must go down in Tennis history as the best Tennis players that as ever been .

This modern life and all the physical and mental stresses that modern day sportsmen go through, ( i know they get paid millions) but for me i think Roger Federer is the best and he is a gentleman and humble with it. So i'll vote for Federer.

Who would you vote for? :)

Federer - without question for me

Most complete player there's ever been in my opinion. He should surpass Pistol Pete's grand slam record within the next couple of years - if he can somehow wrestle the French open from Nadal then no-one can argue that he is the greatest there's been. (worship)

    Agassi

I know Sampras and Federer have both achieved more Grand slams than him, but no-one can question agassi's ability. Agassi is one of a few men that has won all 4 grand slams on 4 different surfaces....federer hasn't and Sampras never has won the French. If Agassi didnt av that bump in his career (the Brooke Shileds Phase) then i believe he wud av been the greatest...and i think he IS the greatest...until Federer wins the French at least

    Rod Laver?

Won all 4 grand slams in the same season twice

Mind you the french and Australians were both on Grass in those days.
