Villa at home. Let's give them a warm welcome to the championship.

    Yep I was there too.
Don't get to many away games these days ,just the odd few but games like Brighton where I can kill two birds etc are a must.

That's who I'm hoping for. Usually good to play any relegated big boys early on, while they're still completely shell-shocked. Villa are in total disarray right now, though it's debatable who will actually be left from this season's debacle.

Regardless of what squad we start the season with there are some very very tough games next season.
Clubs with massive budgets compared to ours.
In addition theres a huge gulf in quality between the Championship and Div 1.
Its not only Villa and Newcastle. There's Derby, Brighton, Forest, Wednesday, Ipswich, Cardiff, QPR, Wolves, Reading, Norwich, Fulham. The list goes on

Avoiding relegation will be a major success for us.
And at the time of writing Brownhill has all but gone to Bristol. isgrove on his way to Preston. Who knows who will be next?

BUT you somehow get the feeling that this time we are better prepared. More unity at the club than there has been for many a season.
Yes next season will be tough. Very tough. We will lose games. But I think we have the capability to not only stay up but do it and lay down some more foundations for the following season.
For some reason I feel quite optimistic about Barnsley FC.

First game will be .....Wigan at home
Then Norwich away on a Tuesday night.
