Brilliant,Dave Grohl was awsome tonight, couldnt fault them ,a great show. And as a bonus two rival groups of sellers squaring up to each other in a side street, its hard to look menacing when you're holding posters
There were some big brutes amongst them, about 20 of them, with 2 very scrawny young coppers at the end of the street pretending nothing was happening
Agreed,I think Eagles of Death Metal are obviously mates of Dave Grohl and the Futureheads a bizarre Ten Pole Tudor tribute act, although quite a few there liked them
Thought they were amazing, brilliant crowd interaction and even better song execution. I went to watch Oasis at city of manchester stadium in May and didn't think they were nearly as good as what Foo fighters were last night. Top top night(nodding2fingers)
Yep I went to Oasis at City Stadium as well, talk about going through the motions, the sooner that band gets a proper front man the better, but then again I suppose we are comparing a real rock band with a tribute act
Futureheads just seemed the wrong type of band to support - as you said, quite a few liked them though, I at through them wondering if they must be on the same label as the Foo Fighters. Would have loved to see someone such as Funeral for a Friend supporting. Dave Grohl was brilliant 'I like it when the sweaty boys at the front go "we love you Dave"....yep I love you too sweaty boys!' The part when he legged it to the back of the arena and got on a platform there to trade guitar riffs as well was great. Where were you? We were at the side but in 1st section so excellent view of the stage though I think we suffered with the sound....great watching the moshing and crowd surfing going on though.
That was funny when he caught something a fan lobbed at him, "It hasn't got acid on it has it, that would be ****"ff
ffs foo fighters show - flipping fantastic stuff. We was in the pit (well just in front of the mixer desk actually - but it was still quite sweaty).
Firstly, the Futureheads are awesome, but were just the wrong type of band, it should've been FFAF Secondly, they were supporting because the foos made friends with the 'heads at T in the Park/Oxygen over the summer... and finally... I got a dave grohl plectrum
