Can I say that I am not a Davey fan and never will be and no I did'nt go yesterday. However, I did listen to the commentary and took in most of what was said particularly by Higgnet. For the first time ever I was not dismayed overall by the defeat, although I was disappointed, and taking into account what Higgnet was saying I would seem that we are not too far away from having a good team. I do believe that when the injured players are back I would hope to see vast improvement. I almost entered into the poll, currently being carried out on Davey and To be honest I was'nt sure which of the two boxes I wanted to tick. I was surprised with me because, I am one of ,if not ,his biggest critic and that includesthat of D. T. so why the change of heart. Well, it's not really a change of heart and I still do not want this man in charge but after listening yesterday I felt myself becomming cautiously optomistic. The is in need of serious "tuning " and for him to recognise the neccessity to focus on his weakness meaning ,that he appears to be unable to change things around when it is needed. If however Davey refuses or recognises the need for change then, I'm afraid he has to go.
I think that what a lot of fans thoughts will be, you can see that we are almost a decent team but how patient can we be. I don't think a change in manager would help us at the moment we need players back from injury and to see Davey learn from his mistakes and show us he can turn thing around. All this rubbish about him losing respect of the players if they can't be told there not good enough or to pull there socks up then thats the players faults not Daveys.
I Was at Brum Yesterday. To add the debate, i am NOT a Davey fan, but i agree there is a good mix of skill and endevour at thye club, unfortunately Davey is not a good manager, now for those who disagree the facts are clear, he is tactically useless, he does not have the ability to change things and see how games fliow, his selection yesterday after talking the game up was very very poor with again lack of thought to change the defence especially as the second goal was identical to the first, a good manager would have made sure the same mistake did not happen twice. There should have been 2 up front and Kozluk should have been on at the start. Excuses cannot be made about players missing, again a good motivational man manger would be saying to the players "make this position yours" and pushing them to be competetive, so please do not say its absent players faults. We did play well yesterday with OJ making a difference a nd Steele keeping the score down but WE LOST. Patrick Cryne has told Davey that he wants mid table this season, Davey did not appreciate this but Cryne is aware of the disquiet in the camp re Kozluk and the fans, and despite what many on here think they know, looking back to the Danny Wilson poll in the Chronichle a couple of years ago , that was instigated by Cryne to asses the depth of feeling from the Barnsley fans as to Wilson would be welcomed back and that is fact. so believe me when i say that Cryne does listen to the fans. A loss with Deby on Saturday i believe will start the process of Davey's reign at the club as i believe Cryne is as frustrated as the rest of us
ossetred.... you say Davey needs to learn from his mistakes, hes shown he cant take Johnson and Christensen for example, Kozluk is now the next who next???
I agree with bigdave, ossett red is very naive, How many times does someone unmarked score against us, when do we ever stop the cross from coming in, there's always plenty of men back in defence, but for game after game we just dont get tight enough to make it difficult for the other team . But heres the punchline what does Davey do about it? nothing he never learns. It makes me wonder where he got all those coaching badges? It seems to me that we are a good team apart from where it matters in both penalty boxes.
Davey on the Touchline Out of the last 4 games i have attended, the opposing manager has ALWAYS been in constant communication with his staff from the touchline as well as continued "PUSHING2 of the players with tactics and formation, what does Davey do....... stands with his arms folded whilst letting his Lapdog Ryann Kidd do the shouting, and Kidd by the way IS despised by the players by the way he treats them
When are we going to learn to score?? When is Davey going to learn about picking the right tactics?? When is Davey going to learn to not fall out with important squad players?? When is Davey going to learn to swallow his pride?? When is davey going to learn he doesn't know it all?
My point exactly. He's no good for us now. He's taken us as far as he can take us. Time to be ambitious and get someone in who knows what they are doing.
Billy Davies would be perfect especially if we provide significant funds. Also i think Martin Allen would be a good choice, or maybe Steve Cotterill??
When is Davey going to learn.. That you can't treat grown men like Academy kids and expect them tp perform for you??
Oh come on, so it's Davey's fault our defence isn't marking properly?!
Once he picks the team, it's up to them to perform. It sounds like time again it's stupid individual mistakes that are costing us

I wouldn't want Wilson back He well and truly shafted us to join the pigs.
Oh and he's pretty much done **** all since leaving

Davey picks the team but he does a crap job at it. Foster right back, hassel midfield, 3 wingers one playing left back, 1 striker.
Was Hassel in defence yesterday?
El Haimour has played left back before in his career, I'm sure of it.
He can pick as good a team as he wants, but if they **** up on the pitch then what can he do?! Steel totally cocked up for the second goal...that Davey's fault too?
I'm losing faith totally with him, but...we HAVE to stop making stupid individual errors, it's these that are leading us to concede more so than the formation/team in my opinion.
I'm basing this on people who have been to the games, and plenty have said we've played ok in parts, but certain players have let us down. We can't afford to make simple errors

We'v had 4 matches now and each time we make the same mistakes. Why doesnt davey change the line up? Drop Moore? Play fozzy in centre. And playing 1 striker isn't going to help, we can hardly score with 2 srikers so why try one?
