I would like to announce to BFC supporters, fans, and freinds that hopefully by Monday next I will have put in place sufficient funds to make a bid for Barnsley Football Club. I will be seeking to enter discussions with the board and Mr Cryne in the hope that it will also be possible to purchase the Ground and accompanying land owned in conjunction with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. After the club, ground and accompanying assets are purchased I will be investing a further 6 million pound to keep the club in the current league. This will facilitate the purchase and wage bill for the remainder of this season. In addition to this I will invest a further substantial sum with the sole purpose of gaining promotion to ‘the Premiership’ If the promotion is successful and more funds are required to ensure survival in the top flight then I will not hesitate to provide them for a reasonable period. I am sure you will understand this will be a massive step forward for our beloved club and look forward to your support in my discussions with the current owners. There are a few minor details to come to fruition before Monday and the whole project is dependant on me having the only winning ticket in tonights Euro Millions.
The plans for the takeover has had a 'slight' set back. Funds that were to become available for Monday are not of the proportion to allow for 'consolidation' in this league. In fact they are not of the proportion to 'consolidate' a wet turd on a frosty night. The total amount available was £6.50 (2 numbers 1 Bonus no)which has now been re-directed to 'fish and chips twice'
Mine is still pending as my syndicate ticket is at work. My two colleagues and myself decided it was a great idea to check the ticket on Monday morning at work. Hmm, the suspense is killing me already
