Chesterfield have announced that a bid of £400'000 has been accepted by the club for top scorer Jamie Ward. The Spireites striker has been the subject of several bids in the last few days, and it is only the one from Barnsley that the club have accepted so far. While it remains to be seen if any other clubs will be willing to match Barnsley's bid, Ward is set to discuss personal terms with the Championship side in the next 24 hours.
