Having thought about Saturday's display and watched the goals back on Barnsley player I think our full backs are one of the main areas we need to address. Wiseman looks to be the one who played Deeney onside for the first goal, Kennedy is sleeping when the ball comes across for the second and Wiseman is beaten far too easily allowing the cross/pull back for the third. I'm not convinced either of them are good enough and definitely not in a 4-4-2 formation.

Wiseman might be better as a wing back, with maybe Bobby on the right of three centre halves, but I would drop Kennedy for now. RNL has to be given a chance top prove himself or get another left back in on loan. I'd stick with Cranie and Rammage, along side Bobby (on the right) or Nyantanga (the left side of the three).

Clearly the midfield needs a shake up too, as we were cut open far too easily by Watford in the first half...

Wiseman might be better as a wing back

if he's not asked to do any defending you mean?

I think most full backs will struggle when we offer them no protection. They were poor on Saturday but so were most.

wisemans confidence returned when last year when moved to wing back. he then performed admirably as part of the 3 centre halfs at times too. this formation should have remained, 4 defenders arent good enough we need 5!

Midfields the problem, Dawson, Perkins, etuhu , none of them got near to watfords midfield and were past around at will. Mellis was absolutely wasted on the wing. That was possibly the worst midfield four in their wrong positions I've seen in quite a few years watching them. Not saying defence was blameless as Kennedy is far too one dimensional but felt for ramage and wiseman with no protection in front if them.
