I think the point was, what's the point in paying for heating to clear the pitch when the game is off due to the surrounding area. May as well not pay for the heating.

    sack of cack

    So the pitch is OK

Most of the spectator areas inside the ground are covered so no excuse there.

The car park could be cleared in a day so I would have thought and they could have started that earlier in the week.

A few hundred away supporters so not really a policing issue?

So on what basis has it been called off because it must be going to cause us a massive fixture pile up if we cant rearrange something for next weekend.

    I'm bemused.

If the club had pushed the 'Together We're Stronger' stuff, they should have asked for supporters to head down with our shovels to clear the area.

Must be a conspiracy against us then

The police, the FA, the FL, Radio Sheffield, the printed press, they're all against us.

They got knocked out in R4 at Watford so it could happen

No doubt SY Police would object as they have their hands full at the SU V Hull game next Sat.

    Palace would've been playing Coventry

But, seeing as Coventry are in the 5th Round, they've got a free weekend too.

    on the plus side

it gives us more time for foster and colace to be fit, and the new lads more time to settle. Plus it may help boggy get sorted depending on how long he is out

Stokes' site has a pic of the pitch now. It looks fine, just the state of conditions outside Oakwell.

I doubt the conditions are much different

11k turning out in comparison with 30k?

Conditions in sheff are similar or if anythin worse than at Oakwell.

Very little snow on my front garden in Oakwell this morning and I'll wager a lot of that has gone by the time I get home.

    bonkers decision
