Signing a couple of players isn't living in fantasy land. Just a few additions to get us out of this wanƙ league.
You forgot to mention Duff and Collins the keeper. I think our board have explained though we have only received money in installments for all of these outgoings. I'm sure they also stated (I could be wrong) the total monies in was around one million quids.
And also pointed out on here... If we receive in installments, we pay out in installments. It's not as if we have to pay 100 percent up front whilst we only ever receive in dribs and drabs. If it is 9 million in over x time frame. We could pay out 3 over the same time frame for example. Leaving 6 to go back to balancing books etc.
Yes I know... I'm just trying to respond to the idea that we have a war chest (having totalled the summer money up ). We absolutely still have money and should be able to budget on the back of that, for transfers in. Our board did promise their would be funds available, so I'm optimistic better players will be brought in to replace the scattergun mid season madness spree
I'd say we do have some cash set aside. Pines won't have come on cheap wages though. It looks like we've got two very decent centre halves in to impact the first eleven. I'm sure there's some money left but I'd rather we are very careful about how we spend it. We don't need another dose of Oulare/Isseka. If we're not sure players are definite improvements at this point I'd rather we kept our hands in our pockets.
Us and Hudds keeping tabs on him apparently. Obviously tried to sign him in Jan but didn't get him. Out of contract this summer as it stands
