Well I'm with you Alfie's Dad. This morning, having had no sleep due to an ill 10 yr old having hallucinations & a fever, overnight, I drove to Goldthorpe for my eldest daughter's Cup match (football). On arrival I got a call for me to go home urgently because my 10 yr old was struggling to breathe / having panic attacks due to aforementioned illness.

I left 14 yr old in Goldthorpe, raced back to Sheffield, took 10 yr old to emergency NHS drop in. As we waited, I got a call to tell me that my 14 yr old, alone in Goldthorpe, had been knocked out in a head clash.

As it happens, both of them are ok, but today, when I actually made it to Oakwell I wondered why I'd even bothered with football.

Barnsley will be fine. We're a work in progress. We'll win some we'll lose some. Today I should have just stayed home with my girls.
