Bradford have dropped their season ticket prices and if they match last years total of 9,000 season ticket holders they'll give each season ticket holder a free season ticket. Theprices per match for both tickets worksout at £3.25! Good value !
Yes - they get a free one If you give it someone then you could split the price - you're ticket would be about £65
Heres the link for the attention of GS, PC and the supporters trust to put to them. http://www.bradfordcityfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/SeasonTickets/0,,10266,00.html Dont know where it mentions the 9,000 but l heard it was 10,000 and they'll get a free one. With our dwindling support surely the board should take note of this to get the support back, it should be mentioned at the next supporters trust meeting to PS and GS if they attend.
What happens if... they sell more than half their home capacity? Think that could backfire on the club for example if we sold over 12k?
A brilliant idea, proper marketing that is. Take a season long hit, for long term growth. Will there be enough pies though?
i agree it a good idea, but theres no guarantee that attendances will go up, you'll still have the same problems with people not being able to make it all matches, due to work etc
How would you do that? First 10,000 season tickets get a free one? anyone after that tough ****? Remember this is Barnsley fans with a chip on their shoulder about ticket distribution could you imagine. Season ticket holders from 2007/2008 are allowed to purchase 2008/2009 4 season tickets!! Dont do that ***** with a free ticket it wouldn't work with the size of our ground, just give the offer of the cheaper ticket to the fans.
absolutely no guarantees, but I doubt employment is the reason for poor attendance. You'd think it would add at least 4-5000 to the gate if they met their target. Try and get an atmosphere going, involve the fans and some of those that have stayed away in recent years might see a reason to buy the following year.
At least they're having a go at doing something Ticket prices are scandalous - I don't know how some clubs can justify the price they charge for a 90 minute match! If it works it works - if it doesn't it doesn't but I hope it does work for them -just for havin the balls to have a go!
RE: At least they're having a go at doing something All tickets start at 23 quid , then for every each individual match ticket stub you get a quid off the next ticket you buy.
So if you attend all the games , the last game will cost you a quid to get in.

They must be doing something right Their average home attendance is 13706, for a midtable league two club! That's over three thousand more than our average and more than our highest gate. Either people don't have problems with work interfering with watching football in Bradford or their policy of charging a reasonable price for season tickets has massively boosted sales.
Aye and the attendance was poor before the Season Ticket offer and..... they were dropping down the leagues. From Benito Carbone on thousands a week to Heckingbottom.
