Just that. People can pillock Hayes all they like, but nobody created a chance through a bit of skill when he wasn't on the pitch. One defensive error and a few runs by Devaney is all that was created. Hayes will create, Nardiello will score. Fact.

& as for the performance, Colgan, Hassell, Kay, McPhail, Devaney, and Nardiello. Decent-ish games. The rest? Jesus f'n wept.

Shuker, Howard and Heckingbottom in particular.

    exactly

richards hoofs and puffs but doesn't have enough quality. wright is poor from what i have seen. neither could cut it in the championship.

he must play hayes and nardi upfront. both have their weaknesses but like you say, hayes will creat (and notch a few) nardy will score (and create a few).

It's ok to say that Nardy will score, but look at how many chances he has missed.

    Yep

They are the best 2 we have - when Hayes came up he was holdin the ball up and his "back to goal" play was excellent....have him with Nardiello playing just off him.

Yeh, watched it on Sky. Still gutted. Not surprised that we lost, but gutted that it was through such a calamity.

What was up with Shuker last night?

Seemed in far too much of a hurry to get shut of the ball. Who was the back heel to? I know I shouldn't, but I couldn't help but laugh at that.

yeah he was poor - he's had a poor second half to the season. cant believe ritch tea took off nardy - he should have quite clearly taken off shuker and richards!

For me I would keep the strikers same as last night and swap Shocker (sorry Shuker) for Hayes.

All well and good playing them two..

but if we continue to bypass midfieldand punt long balls upfront instead of getting it down, they will not get much joy.

Too many players missing last night. Ritchie needs to rocket em and quickly

    RE: Yep

How about Hayes for Richards and McParland for Shuker? Shuker being shocking for last few weeks?
Is McParland injured? Wasn't even on bench on Thursday.
