I see they're in admin today, already started the slashing. Worth a cheeky bid for Marius Zaliukus?

The administrator was on the Scottish news saying that there is absolutely no money whatsoever in which to work with in trying to save Hearts.

Looks like all players will have to be sold. There have been season tickets sold for this season and it looks like those who have them will have to buy another one as the money has been used to pay off debts.

You've got to feel sorry for the real supporters and as usual the individuals who made the financial mess just walk away.

Haha you should have known better! But in all seriousness mate i've not seen much of the lad but he seems like the type of player we are in need of at the minute, a big leader at center back.

Never nice seeing a club in turmoil like this - especially when it's caused by an overambitious egotistical owner who can just move on to something else leaving thousands of fans potentially without a club.

With all due respect to Hearts and the SPL, what's the point of even trying to compete when the power of the Glasgow clubs (or "club" at the moment) is so massively out of step with the rest of the teams in the competition, and even they can't compete in Europe the majority of the time.

That's kind of why I'm in favour of Celtic and Rangers joining the English league as long as they start at the bottom, that way the SPL would become much more competitive yet clubs won't have to spend beyond their means just to finish 15 points behind the league winners.

It may be more competitive without the two Glasgow clubs but the league would die, it would be no better than the league of Wales. OK it's not that much better now but without Celtic and Rangers there would be no TV interest and no money coming in.
That's why they must never be allowed to join the English leagues; and because they're Scottish and have no right to join our leagues.

I think the problem is the Scottish league is bigger than it really should be just because it's been propped up by the Glasgow teams, obviously them leaving would devalue it a lot but maybe that's what it needs. Welsh clubs have joined the English league so why not? I'm not that bothered either way but it does concern me that if they did end up joining us it would end up putting lower league clubs with promotion aspirations back a few years as if they both joined at the same time you'd have to say they'd be filling the automatic promotion spots every year from conference to league one at least.

Whether it happens in the next ten years or twenty years I reckon it's inevitable, provided Scotland don't vote for independence - which I don't think they will.
