We just had the most devastating, intense 30 minute downpour I have ever witnessed. A car floated past my house ! ! Surreal I see on Twitter Swillsboro is under watter again, did you Barnsley folk get it ?
Yeah, had it here in Wakefield for about 30 minutes. Thundering and everything. All that was missing was the hammer of Thor flying down and smashing through the office roof, now that would've been good.
Why take a pic a few mins before it got bad and then not one when it did? Surely that would have made a better pic? It's lovely and sunny here now.
Because I put my camera down to go try help rescue / stabilise a car that floated past the side of the house. The owners are in Hong Kong. Will get some pics off my daughter. Likewise, sun cracking flags now, and the fragrance of raw sewage all around
15 minutes of bonkers weather over in Haworth. It's fecked the ethernet connection on my Mac. Knackers.
What? A good citizen? Never! You're supposed to keep filming it so you can get £250 aren't you? It's started raining here again now, it's quite gentle atm, I hope it doesn't get as bad as there.
We've had two storms now and more to come. If Oakwell is owt like my garden the only thing it'll be good for is water polo. The ground is hard so it may all run off, but we could be looking at a waterlogged pitch.
looking ominous here again Jay ........ I'm guessing from what you say it may be worth me checking the state of things before setting off tomorrow.
as mentioned in another poast, weather forecast is good for tomorrow, get the factor 30 on and put the kagools back in the cupboard.
