Anyone had 1??? Does it feel like someone as kicked you in the nuts and then continue to squeeze them?
Had 1 a few years ago. Quite painful if not dealt with. Starts off with a soft lump just above the groin, this is the lower intestine pushing through the wall tissue and can be gently pushed back through. I left mine too long and it turned into a scrotal hernia where the intestine went into my scrotum. I felt like buster gonad with the size they went. Anyhow eventually went to the docs who confirmed it, referred me to hospital again for it to be confirmed I then had to wait 3 weeks for the operation. After the op the pain was horrible, had to stay in overnight but making a trip to the toilet was uncomfortable to say the least. I was off work for 2 weeks but took around 3-4 weeks to fully heal.
Constant ache when standing especially on hard surfaces like supermarket floors. Feel like your insides want to push themselves out of your back end exceptv that it is at the front and thus cant. Don't delay - hernias cannot self repair and thus can and will only get worse. If it is only minor one then you can now have keyhole surgery and the recovery time is much much quicker than what it used to be when they made substantial cuts in surgery. Feel rank and sore in first week after operation but quickly improve. Whilst recovering sleeping policemen in road become one off your worst nightmare especially if your driver forgets your condition and goes too fast - you are not allowed to drive until you doctor clears you. Quite honestly in the first week you would not be safe. If you suspect you have once then get it sorted. Easy to know if you have one. Put you hand on each side of your furry bits down under and cough. If you have one you can feel it.
The pain I'm suffering is only if I'm sat/stood in a certain position, it feels like someone is squeezing my right ball and the pain is going into my leg and uptowards my lower stomach.
i had a burst appendix a couple of year ago now i think, and i wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy. i refer to this only because of a poster above mentioning bumps in the road. WOW. when i was rushed to Oz, the speed bumps were a nightmare.. at the time, death seemed a good place.. lol
