More like a CV really.Would bring his own coaches, could persuade Andy Cole, contacts in the game are his strength, already as a list of coaches and players he would bring in with and knows this league inside out.Pretty impressive reading really.
Don't you think that reading it gives us what we've been lacking for sometimes....hope, making us think about what could be, about fresh ideas just abit of excitement which is what we are desperately in need off Considering our current situation we have someone here who, yes I agree has no experience but has passion and desire, a passion and desire to be at barnsley football club, he has players in his head who he wants he has a coaching team ready in his head he has contacts, yes our financial situation might have an effect on his player list but I'm sure he is well aware of our constraints
seeing as we are unable to secure an 'experienced' manager i'd take hignett up on his offer,He's got a lot more to lose than someone who's never been near the club,he was a hero here and I doubt he'd want to lose that tag without a fight. if we do go go down with him at the helm it would be hard to blame him for it,lets face it we are up **** creek without a paddle,it would be difficult for him to do much worse than the messiah who's just departed, passion and desire will have as much an effect on us staying up as owt else. maybe hignett could start to draw some supporters back, couple that with the club reducing the admission prices for the rest of the season and we could start to have a bit of atmosphere back which can only be a positive. if we keep flicker and nowt improves then the crowds will dwindle even more, the club would have backed a right loser in my opinion (the situation being the loser not flicker,I dont want it to sound like i'm slaggin him off here cause i'm not).
Depends which way you look at it TomFun? Hignett would rally the fans, players and club in general. If he brought in a solid/experienced number 2 and used his contacts to get some new players in (loans probably) then he could move from Legend status to demi-God statis if we avoided releagtion. Looking at it the otherway, he could get us relegated, but wouldn't be lambasted for it as keith Hill got us in this mess in the first place. The more I mull this one over, the more I say "Hignett for REDS".
