Poor first half, second half slightly better but never looked like scoring.First half the players didn't seem to know what formation they were playing that must go down to K.H's tactics.Craine,Etuhu and Dawson were half decent but all things considered 1-0 was a fair result.

Such a great tactician the Hill bloke obviously. He's the the only manager to think plan B is a musician and not an option! ;-)

i thought we were crying out for some width! i think we would have caused them alot more problems if wed have had someone running at their fullbacks getting crosses in, instead of trying to open up their defence with passes which quite clearly we couldnt do

Yes I thought the same the only width we had were from the fullbacks and that wasn't often enough.Silva looked tricky when he came on but going through the middle we kept hitting brick walls.Interesting comments from Steve Bruce and Corey Evens saying they lost there rythem in the second half because Barnsley kept the ball so well.

How did we line up? It does worry me that without Mellis (or when he doesnt play well) we are similar to when we lost Butterfield, and lose the creativity to break teams down. Surely the answer is when Mellis isn't playing (or is crap) to add more width?

He started with Done and Etuhu up front i presume to get behind there defenders with pace but to play that way the balls behind the defence have to be spot on and on many occasions the pass wasn't good enough.
