The players follow the manager's instruction and work hard, as they did today, and the opposition don't, we'll win the game. All the great play today, and most of our chances, came from how quickly we closed down the opposition when we didn't have the ball. If we didn't win the first ball we won the second. The commitment and effort never stopped, we won 50/50s and tackles time and again which meant we were catching them on the break all the time.

If the players follow the manager's instruction and work hard, as they did today, and the opposition do the same, we might not win. The opposition might just be better than us. We haven't got the best squad of players in the division. But we haven't got the worst either so we might win and at least we'll give ourselves a chance.

If the players don't follow the manager's instruction and don't work hard we'll lose. Sure as eggs is eggs.

Everyone seems to like winning, so it seems obvious what to do.

(Admittedly, this relies on the manager's instruction being a good one and that may not have been the case last season, but it seems to be now.)

It’s lacking a bit compared to the Kipling version but gets the point across well :p

What happens if our players don’t follow our manager’s instructions and their players don’t follow their’s?

As others have said very reminiscent of the season under Val. We did not have the 5th best squad in the league that season. I do believe we may have hard the hardest working squad in the division that season, coupled with been very well organised.

Hardest working and all as fit as lops. I've never seen such running for 90 minutes, with teams expecting us to tire.

So he didn't pick a poor side & play them all out of position after all?
