I'm coming home ...

    After the insanity of the past 2-3 years and other personal issues, I'm coming home for a visit for the first time since August 2019. I've just booked a flight for next Wednesday from SFO-LHR. I've booked a hotel in Hampstead (my old stomping ground in the late eighties) for a night out with my brother, who is driving down to pick me up.

    Looking forward to the three Home games in October, and hopefully to meet some of you guys, although I've no idea what you look like.

    I have to say I'm rather excited.

    More about leaving, than coming home. But definitely reminds me of Baarrnsley, when arr Kate sings it.. have a brilliant trip. Hampstead is a bit special too.. :)

    I think instead of that horrible orch-castrated backing they had sung this with the Dubliners or the Cheiftains, maybe with a guest appearance from Shane McGowan this could have been a perennial Christmas no1...
