What's the worst miss you have ever seen from a Barnsley player??

I'll go for Devaney in the 2-2 draw with Swansea in March 2006. Empty net, eight yards out and he put it over the bar.

 

Dave Regis? was it Grimsby at home, ended up looking like he was trying to hump the post......then he went on to open his own "Soccer" school, that must give every sh*t young footballer hope.

 

Seem to remember Dave Regis missing a sitter from almost on goal line

Deffo Dave Regis, but I also remember a Dean Gorre penalty at the Ponty End - he shimmied, the keeper dived and Deano spooned it over the empty net.

 

I recall mike Sheron putting one over the bar from a couple of yards out, no goal keeper, having got on the end of a square ball across the face of goal.

 

The Regis miss was a absolute beauty, I can't remember any worse than that by a Barnsley player

 

Agreed. Also remember a classic miss by Tony Cunningham in front of the Ponty End. Anyone remember when and against whom?

 

John Peachey did that a couple of times a game,I'm sure he once put the ball over the bar when it was on the goal line !!!

 

Seem to remember being at St Andrews probably in the 80's when Steve Lowndes broke away rounded the keeperand hit the post
